Serving Richardson, TX

For decades, the Ford Mustang has been a standout on the road thanks to its robust and iconic styling and incredible power. Whether you plan to upgrade to your first-ever Mustang or have enjoyed driving a previous model year, you understandably need to know what the most current model years hold in store. While the Ford Mustang has evolved to perfection throughout its history, this high-performance muscle car saw no changes between the 2022 and 2023 versions. What does the current Mustang offer behind the wheel?

Performance

For 2022 and 2023, the Mustang has five trims with four available powertrains. In the base Mustang, 310 horsepower is produced by a turbo 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine. It is paired with a limited-slip rear differential, line lock, and your choice of an auto or manual transmission. An EcoBoost-enhanced variation of this powertrain is also available and delivers 332 horsepower. With this engine, the Mustang has upgraded brakes, paddle shifters, an active exhaust, and a sport suspension. The Mustang GT has a 450-horsepower V8 system, a higher-gearing limited-slip differential, and rev-matching downshifting. If you choose to drive the top-of-the-line Mach 1, your Mustang will receive 470 horsepower from its V8 engine. Its standout performance features include adaptive dampers, Brembo brakes, a special exhaust system, a sport suspension, and a Torsen limited-slip differential.

Appearance

The Mustang is easy to spot on the road with its athletic, fastback-style profile and powerful hood. Throughout the sides, rigorous definition highlights the model's power. The nose is dressed with matrix-style LED headlights and a sharp grille. Some Mustang trims for 2022, and 2023 have additional exterior features that elevate the car's style. These could include lower-side scoops, a rear spoiler, 19-inch wheels, performance tires, and special badging and graphics.

Features

While the Mustang is engineered with power and agility in mind, it also is well-equipped with a host of modern features throughout its cockpit. The Mustang comes with a keyless ignition, a wireless hotspot, keyless entry, remote vehicle monitoring, and Ford Co-Pilot360 safety features at the base trim level. At higher trims, the Mustang's available features include leather seating, rear parking sensors, digital driver's instruments, an 8-inch central display screen, a premium audio system, a two-zone climate control system, adaptive cruise control, smart device app connections, a navigation system, a heated steering wheel, and a ball-style shifting knob.
