Performance
Three powertrains are available across the Bronco's seven trim levels, and these are unchanged for the 2023 model year. The base Bronco receives 300 horsepower from its 2.3-liter turbo, four-cylinder engine. Both a manual and an auto transmission are offered with this powertrain. The other powertrains for 2022 and 2023 are a 330-horsepower, turbo 2.7-liter, V6 engine and a 418-horsepower, turbo 3.0-liter, V6 engine. These are both tied to an auto transmission exclusively. Select trims are also outfitted with an active exhaust, Fox shock absorbers, a heavy-duty rear axle, paddle shifters, a lifted suspension and front and rear electronically-locking axles.
Appearance
Both two-door and four-door Bronco body styles are available across select trims. The Bronco's overall design remains the same in the 2023 model year. The model's signature, boxy profile and flawless side panels define the confident, athletic look. The nose has the hint of a curve with a wide, rectangular grille. The grille is accented with Bronco's logo and round LED headlamps. The Bronco is available with hardtop and soft top roofs depending on the trim selected. This SUV may also have front and rear tow hooks, foglights, tinted windows, all-terrain or mud tires, and other functional features. New for 2023, the Heritage and Heritage Limited Edition packages dress up the exterior. The Heritage package adds side steps, skid plates, a white grille, a white top, and upgraded accents across the front and rear. The Heritage Limited Edition package has everything that the Heritage package comes with. It also adds metal badges, unique graphics, and several interior features.

Regardless of the trim you select for your 2022 or 2023 Bronco, your SUV will come with wireless smartphone app connectivity, a wireless hotspot, satellite radio, a push-button ignition, a digital instrument screen, trail turn assist, trailer sway damping, hill descent control, auto emergency braking, and hill start assist. Select trims also are available with rear parking sensors, voice recognition, lane keeping, an auto-dimming rear mirror, and other equipment. If you opt for the Heritage package, your Bronco will have plaid cloth material.
