Serving Richardson, TX

When you shop for your next SUV at North Central Ford, you will find an impressive selection of smaller and larger Ford models to consider. The 2022 Ford Escape is a well-equipped, compact SUV that could meet all of your needs. Above it in the lineup, the 2022 Ford Edge is a midsize model that offers the functionality of the third row in its large cabin and a more advanced driving experience. Are you eager to take a closer look at these exceptional models?

Performance

Three of the four Ford Escape trim levels pull 181 horsepower from their three-cylinder, 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. A hybrid powertrain is standard for the Edge Titanium and optional for the SEL and SE trims. This 2.5-liter hybrid system generates 200 combined horsepower. The top two trims also have a 250-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine. The 2022 Ford Edge has five trims, and the first four trims use the same 250-horsepower engine available with the Escape. The top ST trim is loaded with a 335-horsepower, turbo 2.7-liter, V6 engine.

Appearance

The differences between the 2022 Escape and the 2022 Edge continue throughout their exteriors. The Escape is a smaller vehicle with strong curves through its profile and nose. The smooth sculpting on the sides is combined with thick, dark molding. The hexagon grille sits below the flanking, dual-elemental headlights. The 2022 Ford Edge also has a rounded nose, hexagonal grille, smooth sides, and strong body molding. However, it is a taller vehicle with less curvature through the profile. The grille is larger and outlined by a chrome element. A metallic feature also dresses up the front air vents. The headlights have a wedge-like shape with a bent LED accent bar.

Features

Both the Edge and the Escape are well-appointed models and share a few of the same features. These include a panoramic sunroof, automated parking, a wireless charging pad, leather material, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, a head-up display, smart device connectivity, an auto-dimming rear mirror, Co-Pilot360 technologies, front parking sensors, and more. The Edge is also available with a combination of leather and suede material, accent stitching, a towing package, evasive steering assist, front and rear heated seats, and more.
