2021 Ford Bronco Sport vs 2021 Ford Bronco
Serving Richardson, TX
The 2021 Ford Bronco returns to the market after 20 years. The Ford Bronco features unprecedented off-road prowess, which is accomplished through a durable mechanical system and a rugged exterior design that also protects the Bronco against the elements. The Ford Bronco Sport, also new to the market in 2021, is a variant of the Ford Bronco. The Ford Bronco Sport has a similar list of features and amenities that you'll find in the regular Ford Bronco. However, the Ford Bronco Sport is a slightly smaller crossover. It also has a more versatile mechanical system that's designed for even more extreme off-road situations, including standard four-wheel drive and a variety of traction settings. Many optional off-road upgrades are available to enhance the Ford Bronco Sport's off-road handling capabilities.
Performance
The same base engine is standard for the two-door and four-door versions of the 2021 Ford Bronco, but you can get a more powerful engine for the four-door. The base engine is a four-cylinder engine with a 2.3L displacement. With the base engine, the Ford Bronco produces 270 horsepower at a minimum and up to 310 lb-ft in torque. A larger V6 engine is available for the four-door Bronco. The V6, which is turbo-charged, has a 2.7L displacement. It produces 310 horsepower and up to 400 lb-ft of torque. The V6 comes with a 10-speed transmission, while a seven-speed manual transmission is offered for the base engine. Two engines are also available with the Ford Bronco Sport. The first two trims have a turbocharged 1.5L three-cylinder engine that creates 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft in torque. Four-wheel drive is standard. The second engine, standard on the Badlands trim and up, upgrades to a turbo 2.0L V4 engine that produces 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque.
Appearance
Sporty and aggressive styling characterize both the Ford Bronco and Ford Bronco Sport. High fender arches and all-terrain tires are found on both SUVs. The Ford Bronco can be configured as either a two-door or a four-door vehicle. The doors are removable and can be stowed in the cabin. The Ford Bronco Sport has a slightly smaller and narrower design that makes it a good choice for navigating narrow trails.
Features
The Ford Bronco comes standard with a horizontal dashboard display that houses Ford's own advanced Sync 4 infotainment system, along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The advanced navigation system can also provide trail recommendations. An eight-inch display screen, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay are standard in the Ford Bronco Sport, along with a host of advanced safety aids.
