The four-cylinder engine mates with a ten-speed auto transmission and uses the rear-wheel-drive (RWD). Alternatively, drivers can select a Ford explorer utilizing the all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration. It comes standard with the RWD setup and ten-speed transmission. The Platinum and King Ranch have a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that develops a marked 365 horsepower.
