What's New for the 2024 Ford Ranger?
The Ford Ranger is a midsize truck that sits just below the full-size F-150 in the lineup. This four-door model has 5-foot or 6-foot truck beds and three trim levels. While the 2023 and 2024 model years are mid-generation versions, the 2024 Ranger benefits from bold improvements from end to end.
The exterior of the 2024 Ford Ranger has been boldly restyled to elevate its modern appeal while staying true to its heritage. The new look features re-sculpted side panels with a deep groove running horizontally. The grille has been reshaped and now includes a horizontal crossbar that holds the brand's logo. Flanking the grille, the C-shaped headlights also have a new look. Depending on the trim selected, the 2024 Ford Ranger has exterior features like power-folding and heated side mirrors, a sliding rear window, 17-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels, and other items.
Under the hood, the 2024 Ford Ranger continues to be powered by a 270-horsepower, 2.7-liter turbo, four-cylinder engine. An optional twin-turbo V6 is also available for the first time, generating 315 horsepower. These engines have four-wheel or rear-wheel drive, and a 10-speed automatic transmission is standard.
All three of the 2024 Ford Ranger's trim levels are remarkably outfitted, and there are no significant changes in feature availability between the 2023 and 2024 model years. Some of the available features are adaptive cruise control, a navigation system, an 8-inch touch display screen, lane keeping assistance, auto forward emergency braking, a keyless ignition, a Sync3 infotainment system, a two-zone auto climate control system, forward collision mitigation, an auto-dimming rear mirror, and a wireless internet hotspot.
