What's New for the 2023 Ford Explorer XLT?
The Ford Explorer has been a go-to choice for SUV shoppers in Fort Mill due to its spacious three-row cabin and attractive styling. The 2023 Explorer is part of the generation launched in 2020 and comes in eight trims, including the Base, XLT, ST-Line, Timberline, Limited, ST, King Ranch, and Platinum. If you're looking for extra features, the Explorer XLT may be the right fit. This trim has undergone some minor changes in standard and optional features for the current model year.
The 2023 Ford Explorer XLT retains its captivating look, with long angles and diagonal accents across the sides. The hexagon grille blends seamlessly with the horizontal LED headlights, creating an engaging look. The exterior features of the XLT include a power liftgate, heated side mirrors, roof rails, and 18-inch wheels. If you opt for the XLT Sport package, you'll get 20-inch gray wheels, Carbonized Gray paint, and black mirror caps. The XLT Technology package includes power-folding side mirrors as well.
The 2023 Explorer XLT boasts a four-cylinder, turbocharged, 2.3-liter engine that delivers 300 horsepower and comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard rear-wheel drive. You can upgrade to all-wheel drive if desired.
The XLT's interior is loaded with features such as second-row captain's chairs, heated front seats, FordPass Connect, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an 8-inch touch display screen. Optional packages add features such as a navigation system, a 12-speaker sound system, and an auto-dimming rear mirror. Safety features on the XLT include rear parking sensors, lane departure mitigation, forward collision mitigation, and trailer-sway damping. Optional safety features include a surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, and lane-keeping.
