 What's New for the 2021 Ford F-150?

Starting from the outside, the Ford F-150 brings many new changes and updates to consumers for the 2021 model year. This year's Ford F-150 builds upon some of its previous strengths, including power, performance, and a contemporary cabin that feels more like a passenger car. However, the F-150 gets many innovative updates in 2021, including a new hands-free driving system. The Ford also goes electric for the first time with the option to now get a hybrid powertrain in addition to a standard gasoline engine. Some of Ford's standard gasoline engines also get more power this year. More technology is added to the interior, which also adds more storage space across the board. The exterior gets a fresh new look as well.

The 2021 F-150's exterior is available in an array of 11 shades of paint to choose from, including dual paint color schemes. The F-150 also gets even more bold LED lighting elements to illuminate the front end. Plenty of options for customizing your finish are available for all trims of the Ford F-150, too. The interior also gets some notable updates for the 2021 model year to include a larger 12.3-inch display screen. The Ford F-150 also gets Ford's Sync 4 infotainment system, which brings a world of connectivity and convenience to your fingertips. The F-150 is configured with more safety amenities, including the Co-Pilot360 safety suite that is now standard on all trims. A hands-free driving mechanism is added to the F-150 to make driving on the highway safer and more comfortable.

While the Ford F-150 has stood out for its powerful engine in the past, the 2021 F-150 takes performance a step further. Now, you'll find that some of the engines available in 2020 have returned with more power for 2021. Additionally, the Ford F-150 is now produced in an electric version with a hybrid powertrain. The F-150's hybrid mechanical system pairs the previously-available 3.3L V6 engine with an electric motor that produces an additional 47 HP. The fact that it has a hybrid powertrain makes the F-150 the only truck in its class to offer an electric mechanical system. The Ford F-150 is expected to get approximately 700 miles in range with the electric engine.
