The SYNC 3 system is really state-of-the-art right now. In addition to being compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, there's also the Sync Connect feature. This pairs your Escape with an upgraded FordPass app on your mobile device, from which you can now lock and unlock doors and even schedule an engine start. The Escape is also now available with two new turbocharged EcoBoost engines. The larger, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder puts out 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque, while still managing to deliver very good EPA-rated fuel economy of 22 mpg city and 29 mpg highway.
