Ford's newest Explorer for 2018 comes with upgrades that include an eye-catching design inside
and out, functionality, and power. The Authentic shape and comfortable yet modern style was
created for every adventure. From picking up the kids at school to a weekend getaway, the
Explorer has an abundance of flexible space and seamless power to take you from A to B efficiently.
The Exterior
Ringing in the new year is the 2018 Ford Explorer's new exterior design. The grille has been
updated and features crisp LED signature lighting in the front and the rear. These lights last longer,
are more durable than previous lighting systems, and are 50% more efficient. To light the way in
inclement weather, the innovative fog-lamps make it easy to see the road when visibility is low.
Ford offers up to five different wheel options, making this SUV completely customizable for the
look you need. The quad-tip exhaust gives a sophisticated look to a necessary component. Black
roof-rack rails, EXPLORER badges, and classy blackout treatment for head and tail lights make the
exterior eye-catching.
The Interior
The interior features an upgraded design that has high quality materials and easy accessibility for
passengers. Featuring leather-trimmed seats that use contrast stitching, a leather-wrapped
steering wheel, and quality floormats, the interior is as attractive as the exterior. To keep everyone
charged are the four smart-charging USBs and one powerful 110-volt outlet.

Standard to the Explorer is PowerFold third row seating that is completely collapsible at the touch
of a button for additional cargo space. Also standard is the twin-panel moonroof that instantly
opens to the already spacious interior and gives passengers a breath of fresh air with a view.
Under the Hood
For even the roughest terrain that needs to be explored, the 2018 Explorer has the performance
you need. Included in the Explorer Sport is an impressive 3.5L EcoBoost engine, plus a specifically
tuned for the Sport suspension syste, and an active 4WD with Terrain Management system and
Hill Descent Control. The EcoBoost engine seamlessly creates best-in-class and impressive 365 V6
HP and a powerful 350 lb.-ft. of torque.
Available to the Explorer is a Class II Trailer Tow Package that can tow up to 5,000 pounds, allowing
this SUV to take even the largest loads. Equipped for towing is the AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability
Control that comes standard. The system smartly adjusts engine power and applies the brakes to
keep control over the trailer. Alongside these spectacular features is Curve Control, another
intelligent system that recognizes curves and speed. It will assist the driver by slowing down
automatically when it detects the speed too high for a curve, whether you're driving up the sharp
turns of a mountain or exiting the highway.
